"Make it sound like he is saying something he didn't really say"? So tell us, Linda Douglass, what did he say?
First off, let me tell you exactly how stupid the clip she plays from Obama really is. I quote.
"If you have Insurance you like, you will be able to keep that insurance. If you have a Doctor you like, you will be able to keep that Doctor".
Oh really, Mr. President? How exactly do you mandate Insurance Companies into staying in business and not changing their plans? Do you intend to force the Doctors into involuntary servitude and legally mandate that they keep all of their patients? The fact is, nobody can honestly make that claim. Sure, they have pretty much guaranteed that insurance companies won't change their plans by forcing you onto the public option if they do. But what happens when people lose their job? Can they wait until they are employed again and get their old plan back? No. And what happens when Obama bankrupts these companies like he has everything else he has touched? Their clients will be forced on to the public plan. So assuming anyone could make such a guarantee, Obama is certainly not the one. Don't believe me? Call your insurance company and ask them to give you a written guarantee that you can remain with them indefinitely and they will not drop your coverage no matter what. I can guarantee you, that won't happen. To promise something knowing that you can never deliver on that promise is in and of itself a lie. Forgive me for taking the President's words literally. But it gets worse. She also states that "President Obama" has been saying a lot of things and people are clipping sentences and using them out of context. Speaking of context, Linda, the words in the video that you used the link to were from Senator Obama, not President Obama. So your accusation that people are taking clips of what the President has said while campaigning for his plan is in and of itself a lie. They would indeed be clips of Senator Obama campaigning for the Presidency. Yet it continues to go downhill.
In the video we then see the following quotes from Obama.
"My commitment is to make sure that we have universal health care for all Americans by the end of my first term as President"
Do you have a context in which universal does not mean all inclusive, or all Americans doesn't mean all Americans Linda? Notice how she claims it is taken out of context, yet she doesn't even try to put that one into a context.
The video goes on.
"But I don't think we're going to be able to eliminate employer coverage immediately. There's going to be potentially some transition process. I can envision a decade out, or fifteen years out, or twenty years out."
Forgive me if I'm wrong here, but if I state that I cannot do something immediately, does it not imply that I intend to do it eventually? If I furthermore state that there will potentially be some type of transition process, doesn't that mean that I am working towards that stated goal? Help me out here, Linda. I am trying to understand. Tell us, what exactly did the President mean? But it gets even worse.
The White house has requested that you snitch on anyone that you believe is spreading false statements about their health care plan.
"Since we can?t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we?re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ,"
Senator Cornyn blasted back.
"I am not aware of any precedent for a president asking American citizens to report their fellow citizens to the White House for pure political speech that is deemed 'fishy' or otherwise inimical to the White House's political interests,"he wrote.
"You should not be surprised that these actions taken by your White House staff raise the specter of a data collection program. As Congress debates health care reform and other critical policy matters, citizen engagement must not be chilled by fear of government monitoring the exercise of free speech rights,"
But is that language strong enough? Is what President Obama doing downright illegal? The U.S. Code 552.a (Records maintained on individuals) states the following in regards to what any federal agency may not do.
"(7) maintain no record describing how any individual exercises rights guaranteed by the First Amendment unless expressly authorized by statute or by the individual about whom the record is maintained or unless pertinent to and within the scope of an authorized law enforcement activity;"
And yes, folks. This is already being used. Meet NashuaDan, who posted the following on the Nashua Telegraph Website.
“I hope NH is better than letting this guy off the hook. Let Obama know what ‘Live Free or Die’ means (hint: it isn’t reckless TAXING and SPENDING). Otherwise, Portsmouth will just be another glorified photo-op for the Socialist-in-Chief."
The next day, he got himself a little phone call from Big Brother Obama's Secret Service. The following was a reply comment to what he said left by SLRnashuan.
“Amazing, NashuaDan. All of those words and not one truth! And, by the way, is that a veiled threat ‘Let Obama know what ‘Live Free or Die’ means’ on the President’s life. Just in case, I called it in.”
What Obama is doing, however, should come as no surprise. I take you back to Missouri during the Campaign when Obama's actions in that state prompted Governor Blunt to release the following statement.
“St. Louis County Circuit Attorney Bob McCulloch, St. Louis City Circuit Attorney Jennifer Joyce, Jefferson County Sheriff Glenn Boyer, and Obama and the leader of his Missouri campaign Senator Claire McCaskill have attached the stench of police state tactics to the Obama-Biden campaign.
“What Senator Obama and his helpers are doing is scandalous beyond words, the party that claims to be the party of Thomas Jefferson is abusing the justice system and offices of public trust to silence political criticism with threats of prosecution and criminal punishment.

I can think of nothing more offensive to Jefferson’s thinking than using the power of the state to deprive Americans of their civil rights. The only conceivable purpose of Messrs. “Barack Obama needs to grow up. Leftist blogs and others in the press constantly say false things about me and my family. Usually, we ignore false and scurrilous accusations because the purveyors have no credibility. When necessary, we refute them. Enlisting Missouri law enforcement to intimidate people and kill free debate is reminiscent of the Sedition Acts - not a free society.”
As President Obama's poll numbers continue to drop, be prepared for more of this. This is a thugish effort to bully the American people into a health care plan they neither want, nor do they need. As Obama's numbers continue to drop, and he begins to face more and more opposition in his own party, be prepared for more threats and intimidation. Why? Because this guy doesn't get it. He thinks those speaking out against his disaster are a rent-a-mob. Well, if that ain't the pot calling the kettle black! (no pun intended) The guy who paid A.C.O.R.N. $800,000 for their get out the vote work thinks we are renting mobs because that is the only way he knows to get his plans enacted. He campaigned on hope and change. Now that people see what that change is, they don't want it. Well we, Sir, do not rent our mobs. When we protest it is legit. You are facing opposition because your plan is a disaster that does not have health at the heart of it. Your plan is a designed Socialist takeover of the Health Care system. And before you idiots over there at flag get your little hammer and sickle panties in a wad, that is my opinion of the bill. I am entitled. And furthermore, since I know you guys are too stupid to figure it out, if there ever is any doubt about what I say, reference the site motto. "Your World, My Spin".
I suppose at this point I should include some type of legal disclaimer for the Obama thugs. This article was written for the soul purpose of expressing my viewpoints on the stated issues. Any direct quotes, either video or print, of President Obama were not intended to state as fact that President Obama is for or against anything.
